A little while back, I snoozed in the bathtub while reading my Nook with Glowlight, dunked it a little, and it stopped working - wouldn't even turn on. I left it sitting in rice for about a week, and now it works again, but the glowlight won't come on.

Any suggestions on what I might do next? I specifically picked the glowlight so I could read in a darkened sleeper, at work. I don't really have the spare $110 to replace it right now.

The rice is an excellent method for drawing away moisture when electronics suffer an encounter with some sort of liquid.

The only thing I can suggest, would be to open the device and allow it to dry out further... there's probably some residual moisture that wasn't drawn-away by the rice.

Then you can also see if the glowlight is damaged or burnt-out.

Thanks Rich. I went and found a tutorial on how to disassemble one (it wasn't that hard) and am letting it air dry for awhile. I had read that soaking in alcohol would dry it completely - but there's something about immersing electronics in anything that gives me the heebie-jeebies.
